Getting Started

Happy New Year! Fourth quarter 2008 was a busy one. I spent a lot of time on a project slated for early 09, but we pushed it back to next winter. Had quite a few engagements to handle on top of my everyday stuff. Still I'm excited about the music I'm sitting on. We even shot a music vid. Jnota and I decided to make some changes for the better and they're currently taking shape. (Cutting to chase) As always I appreciate all the support I continue to receive, but recently I've been disappointed with couple "so called" self proclaimed Damu fans. I won't explain in detail what took place unless I'm provoked to do so. Not only was my privacy violated, Jnota's privacy was jeopardized by perpetrators who claim to respect us as people. They don't _______ know us. We don't consider them "real fans". I personally consider them psychopathic ______ (fill in the blanks) with no lives and obsessive fetishes for black men. Yes people, the Fudgemunk was mad. Jnota was even more pissed. This may seem out of character. Why, because I like to have fun and be respectful. Focusing on music, pleasing people who care ya know. However, I was disrespected and yo get this... they even threatened us in writing. Thanks to the powers that be, we found out who the culprits are. Readers if you’re suspicious who, your guess is probably right. When you get a chance be sure to thank them for their efforts. Why are my videos gone? Why don't I post often on this blog? Why don't I update myspace music? They're the reason. Its not flattery I feel, but discouragement. “Lo siento.” I apologize to winners of the Flex 12". You should have received a package by now, but we had to resolve this issue ASAP. Straight up it was a headache. The good news is... With delayed shipping, I have an additional surprise bonus to mail the three contest winners. Can’t say what bonus is, but just know you're not ONLY getting a Flex Mathews 12" in your mailbox. With that out of my system, we'll keep it moving. Regular scheduled programming will resume in the next post. Until then check out the following video. By the way we’re in much better spirits unless one of those “Stans” wants to contact us. No letters going to stanville county.

Soul Brothers no. 2 & 3

Shout out to the kid Drew I met that night for shooting and producing

damn man that sucks, you know what they say, one bad apple spoils the bunch, and that seems like the case here, no wonder why i don't see any updates, or your videos on youtube, i see them but they're private, i got banned from youtube over some bullshit, i was posting rare 90's videos and they banned me, yea they wanred me but i forgot all about it, and got and email saying that i was permanently barred from youtube, but i hope to see more features and stuff, and have a happy new year, peace.

Absolutely crazy news. It's a shame that this happened. The internet is a great invention, other side of the coin is a bunch of all kinda psychos using the net as their private playground.
Still puzzled how can anyone piss on a humble guy like damu?!
Weird world...

Keep up damu! Forget about those guys.

They are still cats all around the world that are just enjoying your great music and waiting for new realeases.

Those people love the sound, and there's no way that you can annoy the people behind all those good vibes.

Stay strong and like you are. You have a lot of fans, and thanks god they are not all psychos!

Mad props.

another thing:
"internet stans" can best be avoided with takig the "supply" more in the live show and street performance direction like in new york, which is cool. only problem might be the lack of availiability for the oversea supporters of damu who might end up a bit "hungry".
hope damu and jnota continue their work in keeping us updated about new projects, clips and stuff.

All I know is that I am excited about these upcoming projects more than any other artist's new releases this year.
