Some "neighborhood" friends of mine just popped up with this one. Make sure you download this like RIGHT NOW! Any fan of my music should be fans of these guys. It's rare to see new groups emerge in hip hop and this trio knows the time. On production we have underground phenom Oddisee. Underground may be an insult. Dude is world renowned and has stats to prove it. His claim to fame was producing, but he's been dropping gems lyrically throughout his 6 year career. If you're unfamiliar with this guy google him. All the beat nerds probably know his work. In addition to it's mastermind you have mc's XO and YU, two of DC's elite. XO comes from from my side of town (uptown NW) and evolved through the ranks of Tru Skool hosted by my brother and I. YU has been around for years with various projects buzzing in the DC scene. Funny story I was jacking a family member for records two years ago and found out YU and I are related after knowing him 3 years prior. As you can see, this blogging/writing stuff aint for me. I would never make it at magazine or college haha. Point is... If you want good rhymes and beats with samples, breaks, all the stuff that I look for. Give this a listen. A good LP. Only thing new worth listening to in my opinion. I'll be endorsing more good music as it comes my way.
